Tropical Garments

An old building here in Tampa catches my eye every time I pass by on my way to school. When I finally stopped and took some shots, a young man pulled up in his car and explained that this building used to be a fabric manufacturer called Tropical Garments. He told me how his mother worked all throughout the day in the sweltering heat (for, of course, there were no air conditioners at the time of this building's functionality) in order to come home after dark and feed her children. Accounts like his truly put life into perspective.

Here are two shots from the day. Both still need some tweaking, but they will do for now.

La Nina

My laptop is old and tired, and the poor thing decided to take a break from the hardships of overuse.. I've been without it for almost two weeks- yet another reason why I haven't been updating my blog. I can, however, make due by overloading my parents' computer with all my photo files :]

And then it came time to be responsible.. But before I could start my studies, Nina decided to crawl (kinda) for the first time... And then I got lost in the fun and completely lost track of time. Oopsies!
