Concert Photos

I have started editing photos from a concert I shot this past Saturday. I am still not finished, but I will post a few of the ones I've been working on. I apologize if they appear pixelated. I will have to fix that for the finals. Anyway, enjoy!

Oh, I just ordered a new camera (I have been losing sleep from the excitement! I feel like a child waiting for Santa Claus), so I won't be able to shoot for a few days. But boy oh boy, when it comes in, I don't think I'll put it down for weeks!!

Grandma and Grandpa

It's been quite a hectic week! A "winter" illness snuck up on me amidst the insanity of a full schedule, so I've been set back a bit. I'm feeling much better though, and I'm ready to take on my To Do list.

I celebrated my twenty second birthday yesterday, and it was such a pleasant day! I ate more food than I thought could possibly fit in my belly, and I enjoyed the day alongside my family and boyfriend. I am such a lucky duckling!

Anyway, I want to dedicate this post to my parents. I don't even know how to express my gratitude for all they've done (and all they've put up with) through the years of my growth. It gives me such joy to witness their happiness as we kids progress into adulthood and continue to confide in their wisdom and love. And now that Nina has come into our lives, the wonderful cycle begins again. Only this time, I get to experience the progression from an outside perspective- one I am more than happy to thoroughly document. :]

This one's for you, Grandma and Grandpa.

...a fabulously full plate

I have been so busy these past couple weeks! School and work are keeping me well occupied, but I am still able to fit in some fun photo projects which are nice breaks away from the monotony. Don't get me wrong- I love being in school. But if you gave me the option to either pick up my camera or to open a book concerning various research methodologies of aging, my preference is clear.

I do, however, feel as though I've been neglecting my blog, so here is a small taste of the fun stuff I've been up to lately. The following photos are three of my favorites that will soon be hung at a new breakfast/lunch cafe in Tampa. I feel very privileged to be a part of the restaurant's opening.

And the next couple are headshots to update a modeling portfolio. Robert is a great joy to work with- and not to mention ceaselessly entertaining. The last picture is the family of little baby Sydney. What a freakin' cutie!

Little Bear

I can't believe it's actually getting cold outside! Grandma and Auntie Katy bundled up the babe and took her outside for a mini shoot before her afternoon nap. My heart overflows with love for this child.

Downtown detour

Ryan and I were downtown on a photo adventure, and we stopped to talk to a man named Paul who makes money by selling handmade flower/palm frond creations. He travels from Tampa to St. Pete in efforts to make enough cash to ride the bus between locations. His handiwork is actually quite beautiful.

Non-Nina portraits

Sometimes I photograph people other than Nina. Strange, right!? :]

Still life

Aaaannnnd here are some of my still life shots. (Bear with me... the mass posts are almost done!)

Spain, at a glance

I enjoyed a fabulous semester abroad in beautiful Salamanca, Spain. I traveled other parts of the country as well. Here's a photographic summary. My heart is aching to go back...
